Life at WTC: Acts of Kindness Photography Exhibition

WTC 3 Lobby, 21 July – 26 September 2025

As part of Jakarta Land’s ongoing commitment to community and cultural engagement in the workplace, the WTC Jakarta Photography Competition returns this year with a fresh perspective: to capture the unseen. This year’s theme invites tenants from across the complex to participate, encouraging us to reflect on Acts of Kindness; not simply as fleeting gestures, but as quiet moments that help shape our daily environments.

In this context, kindness is not a performance. It doesn’t seek recognition or applause. It lives in the small, everyday moments such as watering a public plant, offering directions, sharing a quiet walk side by side. These may seem like ordinary acts, but together they create the invisible fabric of how we live and work with others. As the writer Sara Ahmed reminds us, emotions are not private; they move between people, shaping the spaces we share. A single act of kindness carries outward, subtly transforming the world around it.

The photographs displayed here, taken by members of the WTC Jakarta community, capture these small but meaningful moments. They bring attention to the unnoticed kindness that take place within our buildings and shared spaces. In doing so, they ask us to reflect on how we choose to see the world around us and how noticing these simple acts can reshape our experience of it.

From lobbies to stairwells, elevators to gardens, this exhibition reimagines WTC Jakarta not just as a hub of business and movement, but as a living network of connection and care. Here, kindness is not the exception, it is the foundation that quietly supports our daily lives.

Let these images remind us: to act kindly, no matter how small the gesture, is to take part in the ongoing work of building a better community.

Each photograph was taken by our own tenants and carefully judged by professional photographer Chaerul Umam and Hardi Budi, in collaboration with ISA Art & Design.
