Ireland’s Eye 2025 Art Exhibition

WTC 2 Lobby, 17 March – 11 April 2025

The Embassy of Ireland presents this exhibition to mark St Brigid's Day, celebrated on February 1st, honouring the creativity and cultural achievements of Irish women, including the Yeats sisters.

Six Irish Artists, Isobel McCarthy, Olivia Normile, Mary Sullivan, Aaron Sunderland Carey, and Electronic Sheep (Brenda Aherne/Helen Delany) explore life in Ireland today. They reflect the diversity of experience in Irish society, from rugged remote islands to marginalised Dublin communities and the Irish diaspora abroad. This exhibition showcases the work of contemporary Irish artists who engage deeply with the landscape, culture, individual experience and diverse communities that shape our nation in 2025. Their work casts a critical eye on the impacts of societal and environmental changes on individuals and communities, and offers creative responses to the key issues of our increasingly connected, yet polarised world.

This exhibition invites viewers to journey across the Irish landscape, revealing how geography and community informs personal and collective narratives. The artists capture the pulse of contemporary Ireland, addressing social issues, environmental concerns, and the ever-evolving relationship between people and place. Join us as we celebrate this dynamic expression of Irish identity, connecting location, experience, and artistry in today’s world.

The exhibition is curated by Irish artist Mark Joyce.
